Once SafeW is installed, we recommend completing these setup steps for the best experience:
- Set a strong password: Use at least 12 characters with a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
- Enable two-factor authentication: Turn on 2FA in Settings for an extra layer of account security
- Back up recovery information: If the current version provides a recovery key or backup code, store it safely to reduce recovery problems after device loss
- Configure privacy options: Visit Privacy Settings to adjust online status, read receipts, and more
- Invite your contacts: SafeW's end-to-end encryption works best when both parties use SafeW
